Christina is a student, turned client, turned friend…my favorite kind of people! She is an aspiring photographer herself so brides you may see her with me at some of your weddings next year! I currently don’t use second shooters as I am able to cover weddings so far on my own. But she started going with me to a few this year as my affectionately called “bag girl!” Although she is a Canon user…sigh…I’ll keep her around as she is good company! ;D
I met her almost 2 years ago when she took my “Intro to Digital Photography” class I teach for Continuing Education at our local community college. She had a Canon Powershot point and shoot at the time and eventually upgraded to a DSLR!! So she took the class again with her new camera and by the end we were good friends! This past May she wanted to get some family portraits taken as well as some pics of her and her husband Wes and their daughter Kayleigh.
We did these a day earlier than planned as it was supposed to rain on her day. Well we did not anticipate wind. It was beyond super windy when we shot these. Poor Kayleigh had the absolute worst experience! We were literally being sandblasted everywhere, the face being the worse area! But we made the most of it…after all, Wes promised Kayleigh a pink fishing pole if she did good for her pics. Nothing like bribery!
I often ride with my clients to shoots as I did on this one. After Grandpa Wes poked us along to the beach ;D, we finally got there to do our thing! I think he was prolonging situation so he didn’t have to do pics!
A few faves from our very windy day…

My favorite kind of pics to shoot…couple pics!

As you can see here…windy does not begin to describe the weather conditions!

Thank you Christina for letting me photograph your beautiful family and I’m glad we’re friends!
Stay tuned for her “Trash” session!
xoxo,
Amy
P-esss: In case you’re wondering, Kayleigh got her pink fishing pole while Wes wouldn’t take us to the Coach store for our gifts!
